IAYP Program

IAYP (International Award for Young People) is run under the direction of the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DoE) and at Heritage Girls School students from Grade 9 and above can choose to become involved.

At Heritage Girls School we offer Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards which encourage personal discovery and growth, independence, perseverance and a responsibility to each student as well as their community, traits that are sought after by both universities and employers alike.

Typically Grade 9 students choose to take part in the Award, which requires students to complete four components: Service, Physical Recreation, Skill, Expedition (also known as the Adventurous Journey) and, for Gold, an additional longer residential component is required.
